Georgian Bay Water Quality Data Analysis
A comprehensive water quality analysis of Georgian Bay’s tributaries uses the USGS SPARROW model and spatial cluster analysis to identify nutrient issues and validate management tools like the Lake Shore Capacity Model (LCM).
This project focuses on a comprehensive water quality data analysis for Georgian Bay’s tributaries. We’re using the USGS SPARROW model within a Bayesian framework to analyze the data, which allows for a more robust statistical approach. Our work also includes spatial cluster analysis to pinpoint areas with unusually high nutrient losses. Finally, we’re corroborating nutrient export coefficients in the Lake Shore Capacity Model (LCM) to ensure its accuracy and relevance for managing Georgian Bay’s water quality.
